Our client, part of an international group, leader in delivering sustainable treatment and reuse solutions, is looking for an:
Operation Manager Italy
Main responsibilities:
The Operation Manager, reporting directly to the General Manager, will be responsible for project execution and manufacturing activities;
He will ensure that projects are executed according to the Company management politics and strategy and he will also ensure that actual expenses remain in line with the budget.
He will put in place mitigation measures in case of deviations;
He will have direct authority over the following activities: Manufacturing workshop; Project management; Site project management; Construction; Commissioning;
The Operations Manager is responsible for compliance with the Company Health, Safety and Environment System (HSE).
Additional responsibilities:
Work closely with the sales department and get involved in the sales process as appropriate;
Manage relationships with existing and new clients;
Prepare project plan in accordance with budget and timetable;
Develop and improve existing project management procedures and the proper application of these procedures across the company;
Review and improve existing manufacturing processes;
Participate and contribute to the management meetings as a member of the senior management team.
Requirements:
Master of science in Chemistry, Engineering, or Environment;
Minimum 10 years of international experience in managing construction of infrastructure projects, preferably water and wastewater treatment plants;
Construction site experience;
A proven track record in delivering projects on schedule and budget in an international environment;
Fluency in Italian and English. Spanish, French and Portuguese a plus;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Availability to travel for approximately 30% of his time to visit construction sites, meet with clients, etc.
Location: Padova, Italy.
Contract: Permanent employment contract.
